Acupuncture for IVF & Assisted Conception Technology (A.S.T)

How acupuncture supports  Women & Couples during IVF:

Many couples come to have acupuncture to increase their chances of success with A.R.T.  Acupuncture can increase success rates and reduce stress during  the process. From Frozen Embryo Transfer to Natural or Mild IVF, short or long protocol each clients needs are individual and need a tailored approach.

The same issues that hinder natural fertility can also affect Assisted Reproductive Technology. However, some of these issues can be managed through A.R.T to allow conception.

How to best increase your chances?

For best results come for acupuncture 3-6 months before starting ART.  If not then as soon as you can.  Lifestyle and diet changes are an important part of preparing for both natural fertility and A.R..T

Ideally it's best to see both partners in a couple. You will be asked to fill in a Fertility Health Questionnaire and have your initial consultation and first treatment.  You will be asked to share any information, scans and blood & sperm analysis in order to provide the best treatment plan. If you suffer from anemia, digestive, bowel or thyroid issues  or any other conditions it is important to tell your acupuncturist at the start.

Treatment plan is made to support the different stages of IVF from downregulation to stimulation, up to egg collection and embryo transfer. Acupuncture is helpful at this time and afterwards.

Each treatment plan is flexible to complement the protocol followed by the fertility clinic.

      Male Infertility

Male Fertility is also highly important to consider and factor in whenever considering optimizing fertility or if deciding to go through IVF.

Sperm counts, motility and morphology have all declined in the last 50 years which is having a dramatic effect on fertility rates. Acupuncture is a simple and effective way to naturally improve fertility.

Acupuncture  helps untangle the  web of symptoms from both partners that combine to reduce fertility, in order to increase chances of  bringing a  healthy conception to term
