How acupuncture supports  Women & Couples during IVF:

Many couples come to have acupuncture to increase their chances of success with IVF.  Acupuncture can increase success rates and reduce stress during  the process. From Frozen Embryo Transfer to Natural or Mild IVF, short or long protocol each clients needs are individual and need a tailored approach.

The same issues that hinder natural fertility can also affect Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). However, some of these issues can be managed through ART to allow conception.

How to best increase your chances?

For best results come for acupuncture 3-6 months before starting IVF.  If not then as soon as you can.  Lifestyle and diet changes are an important part of preparing for both natural fertility and IVF.

Health Conditions to Discuss

If you suffer from anaemia, digestive, bowel or thyroid issues  or any other conditions it is important to tell your acupuncturist at the consultation.

Should Both Partners Attend?

It is best for both partners to attend.  During the first session an overview of the health history of both partners will be assessed.

How Your IVF Treatment Plan Is Structured

Treatment plan is formulated to support the different stages of IVF from downregulation to stimulation, up to egg collection and embryo transfer.  Each treatment plan is flexible to complement the protocol followed by your fertility clinic.
